Kyle Westbrook of the Partnership for College Completion on Wednesday encouraged members of the Senate to consider expanding the state’s Monetary Award Program.

Illinois should follow the lead of other states and implement a program to make post-secondary education tuition free in order to provide more opportunities to Black and Latino students, a panel of education advocates told lawmakers Wednesday.
