Champaign County state’s attorney Julia Reitz was one of several witnesses to offer testimony to a Senate committee on Tuesday.

With the Illinois General Assembly expected to introduce criminal justice reforms during the upcoming veto session,  lawmakers should consider formalizing diversion programs for misdemeanor offenses, a state’s attorney said Tuesday.
