At any point, the head of this taxpayer-funded department could have called these issues out, could have addressed them with the mayor or any other of the 49 members of the City Council in order to fix these issues. THAT NEVER HAPPENED.”

  • Ald. Chris Taliaferro (29) says he’ll open a South Austin ward satellite office very soon, in addition to the other one located inside Kolatek’s Bakery. He also welcomed Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs to the ward.

  • City Treasurer Kurt Summers will hold his quarterly earnings call on Tuesday, August 23. They will “discuss how our office is creating relief for Chicago’s taxpayers by growing the city’s bottom line.”
