In his “stay at home” executive order on Friday, Gov. JB Pritzker designated manufacturing as an “essential” industry — a designation the Illinois Manufacturers’ Association had requested to ensure no part of Illinois’ supply chain would be adversely affected during the state’s response to the spread of the novel Coronavirus.
